Lawrence Dodd wins pro-only event at Thorpeness

Lawrence Dodd, a former England amateur international who turned professional in 2006, has played both on the PGA European Tour and the PGA Challenge Tour. Now he is a first year assistant at the Bury Golf Range and will be a power in Suffolk golf this year.

Dodd won the Suffolk PGA pro-only medal competition at Thorpeness with a two over par round of 71. Dodd was one under at the turn but dropped three shots on his back nine. The new back tees at Thorpeness, introduced for the English Seniors’ Championship to be played between May 30 and June 1, were in use.
